Stronger Standards, Stronger Results

This year’s moderate front overlap test includes a deeper assessment of potential injury to rear-seat passengers, making it more challenging to earn a top rating. The Audi A5 met the required benchmarks across the board, delivering solid results in side-impact and small-overlap front crash tests while also offering consistently strong headlight performance across its trims. These combined scores helped secure its Top Safety Pick+ status.

Q6 Sportback e-tron Shows EV Safety Leadership

The Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron joined the A5 with its own Top Safety Pick+ recognition, performing well in frontal protection, side-impact stability, and pedestrian front crash prevention. As one of Audi’s newest electric SUVs, its results show the brand’s ability to carry its safety engineering into the EV space. The Q6 Sportback e-tron demonstrated robust structure, reliable airbag deployment timing, and strong ratings for standard driver assistance features.
