Audi's electric vehicle Audi e-tron gets a new name in 2024, and this rename is in line with Audi's EVs expansion. The e-tron got its name because it was the only vehicle of its type. However, with the increasing lineup of EVs and PHEVs, we'll see e-trons with series like the Q models.
In 2024, the Audi Q8 e-tron will replace the Audi e-tron with refreshing updates. The naming will also expand to other models, including the Q8 Sportback and SQ8 e-tron.
The new updates include a revised grille with LED inserts to make the logo glow. Other updates on the exterior include the front and rear spoilers and grille air shutter to improve aerodynamics.
More Range and Capability
The new Audi Q8 e-tron will witness a redesigned battery grid with an increased pack from 95 to 106 kWh. In addition, this battery update with the exterior refresh will expand the driving range to 30%.
The current 357 km range is estimated to increase to approximately 500 km, while the European testing standards expect an increase from 453 to 582 km. The new battery pack also charges faster now with 170 kW. Therefore, you'll be able to charge the battery from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes.
